The Ralph Lauren of the Streets by Roisin O'Hare

Inspired by O.G hip hop album covers, ‘The Ralph Lauren of the Streets’ is a commentary on how the over-saturation of street brands in popular culture has diminished the origins of streetwear; skate and hip hop culture. A movement that started as visual self-expression and movement away from the high-end nature of the fashion industry has morphed into a monetised style. The Ralph Lauren of the Streets reminds people of the origins of streetwear and the authentic nature the style once displayed.
