Basharatyan V AW16

Basharatyan V presented their third collection at Piste for a hint of après-ski frivolity. The wooden clad retreat showcased the collection with the models positioned in a Last Supper inspired setup complete with flowing red wine. The table manner was an intimate affair, with models laughing and conversing with one another under dim lighting, it took a second to distinguish the models from a group ready for award season.

Wearability and versatility are key elements behind the brand, with each piece acting as a wardrobe staple due to its minimalist chic classic colours and shapes. The evening palette consisted of safe greys and whites, with a deep navy velvet for added texture. Two piece womenswear items reiterate the interchangeability of the brand, ready to integrate within one’s already established wardrobe. Basharatyan brought back the woollen cardigan for an evening jacket alternative but with additional detailing of a see-through net or silk printed back, taking day wear into evening wear.

The lifestyle presentation collaborated with suave menswear brand Velsvoir who styled the gentlemen for the evening. Picks of choice included a pinstripe pant tailored with precision and printed pocket squares taking centre stage as the only accessory for both brands. As the night continued the atmosphere turned from laid-back to party which made walking out into the dreary London weather that bit harder.
